Honouring the Guest – A Look at the Tradition of Karam

Showing generosity to visitors and guests has always been a virtuous act in the previous nations, one that has deservedly attracted respect and good-standing within the community. But what about within Islam? This tradition is called Karam in Arabic and can be translated as ‘honouring the guest, being generous and noble to him’.
