Sheikh Zeid Al-Dakkan was born in 1969 in Saudi Arabia. In late 1990, Sheikh Zeid finished his BA in English, then he worked as an interpreter/translator in one of the companies in the Capital. Sheikh Zeid also completed his degree at the Islamic University of Madinah and was taught by some of the worlds greatest scholars. In 1991, he started teaching English to secondary and high schools at the Ministry of Education in Riyadh. He received his Diploma in Education in 1992. In 1996 he moved to Sydney, Australia to work as an educational advisor to the Australian Islamic Cultural Centre. Sheikh Zeid received his MA in Applied Linguistics in 1998 and his PhD in Linguistics in 2004. He has been working with the Islamic community for the last eight years, contributing in many Islamic and interfaith conferences and dialogues.
